Things To Troubleshoot Before Calling Customer Service

These are some of the codes you may see on the display and what they mean.

  • IE
  • OE
  • FE
  • HE
  • tE
  • CL
  • PF

IE error means that there is a water inlet issue. Check the water supply and the inlet hose to make sure it isn’t clogged, kinked, frozen or broken.

An OE error means that there is a drainage problem. Check the outlet hose to make sure it isn’t clogged, kinked or frozen.

A FE error means excessive water supplied, a HE error means that the heater circuit has failed and a tE error means that the Thermistor has failed or that the inlet water is over 194 degrees Fahrenheit.

A FE, HE or tE error requires a call to LG customer services or an authorised service center.

A CL code on the display is not an error. It means that the Child Lock is activated.

This is a feature that stops the controls being pressed during an operating cycle.

It doesn’t stop the dishwasher from being turned off or the door opened.

If you want to deactivate or activate the child lock press the Upper Only and Quick buttons together for 3 seconds.

You may also see PF on the display at some stage. This indicates a power fail and is not an error.

You’ll only see this when the machine loses power during a cycle.

When power is restored, the PF will disappear after 10 seconds when any button is pressed.
